One from a top 15 school, another from a top 40, and one from my state school, which is pretty damn good. I failed a course in first year (you remediate and no one gives a shit and it doesn’t show on your transcript) AND I failed level 2 three times… I still matched into my #1 internal medicine residency program. I completed 3 years of med school and in my fourth year I failed two rotations and just got kicked out. Yeah maybe the first time not getting in hurt, but it wouldn't happen twice, right? Facing that reality really brought me down and made me severely doubt my ability to get into medicine, but seeing that acceptance email and getting that call made me realize how stupid I was being.
